Tips
- Due to the limited capacity of the Monumental Complex, it is advisable to buy tickets in advance and, preferably, in the online ticket sales and management system of the Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife.
- Other ways of acquiring tickets do not ensure their availability
- It is established, as a novelty in the online sales system, that tickets to the Nasrid Palaces can be purchased less than two hours in advance, subject to availability.
- Another novelty is the acquisition of tickets by DNI (National Identity Document) or passport. Each visitor must have his/her ticket, although it can be purchased by a third party.
- Children under 12 years of age do not need an ID identification. However, the document number of the adult designated as accompanying guardian, and his/her details, must be indicated on the minor’s ticket.
Visit Rules
The Alhambra is a monumental site of great historical, scenic and cultural value.
Ticket adquisition implies the acceptance of a series of measures to reconcile the protection of the Monument and the public visit:
- It is not allowed to enter with backpacks bigger than 40 x 40 cm.
- It is not allowed to enter the Nasrid Palaces nor the Generalife Palace with baby buggies, there is a special area for them.
- It is not allowed to use selfie sticks, flash or camera tripods inside the Nasrid Palaces and closed areas.
- For safety reasons, children under eight should hold hands with their parents or the person taking care of them.
- Eating and drinking is only allowed in certain areas.
- Follow the instructions of the staff.

The Board of La Alhambra and Generalife organizes free cultural and educational activities, both in the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and in the Andalusian monuments.
For that date, an invitation will be provided to access the monument.
