DESCRIPTION
The World Cultural and Natural Heritage Convention was first signed in Paris on the 16th of November, 1972. The declaration of properties as part of the World Heritage is a recognition granted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to sites of outstanding universal value. From then on, the enjoyment, protection and care of these places becomes the responsibility of everyone in the world, regardless of the country in which the properties are located. The declaration of World Heritage is not the end, but the beginning of a path of responsibilities and commitments aimed at maintaining the value of this heritage for future generations.
